SLS engineers helped design and test the instrumentation, sensors, and mechanical hardware that were used to construct the lightning monitoring systems on NASA’s Mobile Launch Tower. The Mobile Launch Tower will provide ground support equipment and services for the Space Launch System rocket during pre-launch and launch operations.
